I found his use of alternate dimensions to be very good, as we now know that at least 11 dimension exist. Since the author uses a twisted version on the Christian faith, it is important you understand what they are reading. As a Christian I would recommend that you read this book first before your child does and then be sure to discuss this book with them as they read along. These books while written for kids are very graphic and in some cases quite violent.
I would however not recommend this book to young children or children who have trouble with nightmares or who are very sensitive to imagery.
